LAHORE, Mar 30 (SABAH): Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shehryar Khan announced on Thursday that next Pakistan Super league final will be held in Karachi along with some other matches in different cities of the country.
Addressing a press conference, he said that PCB has initiated the preparations of the third edition of the PSL as the matches would be played in various cities of Pakistan and final in Karachi.
Replying to a question, he said that PCB has decided to conduct audit of the second PSL so that the corruption could be rooted out.
Commenting over Pak-India cricket series Shaharyar Khan said that India is not ready to play any bilateral series and they have been left with only one option to pursue legal proceeding against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
“There is no chance of an India-Pakistan series,” Shaharyar said.
“if you remember we signed an MoU in 2014 whereby we had to play six series in eight years. India has already ditched us for two series and the third one is not on in the current scenario.
This leaves us with no other option except to take a legal action against them. We want to play cricket. We will be giving them a legal notice,” he added.
Answering to another question Shehryar said that PCB’s bio-mechanics lab, which was undertaken by LUMs last year, will soon become the sixth ICC accredited facility and first in Pakistan.
“We are expecting accreditation of the biomechanics lab in LUMS. It will be the sixth facility of its kind. The accreditation might be received in June-July 2017.” Shehryar, on the occasion, announced that he would leave the PCB chairman slot in 2018.
