ISLAMABAD, April 20 (SABAH): President Mamnoon Hussain has said contribution by every section of society is inevitable for optimum utilization of the country’s resources keeping in view the rapid growth of population.
He was addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday organized to unveil a book compiled by Benazir Income Support Program.
The President said the book will help understand the struggle and hard work that Pakistani women are putting forth in the development stream of the country.
He said it will also help in ascertaining the outcomes of welfare schemes of the Government and will impart a positive image of the country and its hardworking women.
Mamnoon Hussain said the effectiveness of the book will further increase if the stories in the book are dramatized using television and theatre media.
Earlier in her key note address, Chairperson BISP Mari Memon said the book is part of BISP`s ‘Ehsaas’ campaign to raise awareness about the hardships and sufferings of the Pakistani women in every part of the country.
She said the book will help promote inter provincial harmony as it contains the taste of eighteen different languages spoken in different parts of the country.
She said the stories have been translated in Urdu and English languages for covering a large readership.
Marvi Memon said an e-version of the book has also been prepared to cater the modern trends of book reading.
She said the book contains true stories of BISP beneficiaries from one hundred and forty six districts of the country.
She said our women are playing pivotal role in progress of the country and the book will promote and encourage the tremendous endeavors by our women.
