ISLAMABAD, April 20 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim Nawaz (PML-N) leavers have termed the Supreme Court of Pakistan verdict in Panama leaks case as victory of democracy and people of Pakistan. The PML-N leaders said that judgment reflects that the failed politicians who intended to derail democracy have once again been defeated.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the people who have desire that they could force Mian Nawaz Sharif to quit the PM post, adding that I want to tell these people that Nawaz Sharif is prime minister till 2018 and after that Nawaz Sharif again will be elected prime minister.
While talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan after the announcement of Panama leaks case judgment Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that we are grateful to Almighty Allah over the decision. He said that the three judges have given the verdict in favour and two against us. He said that many months ago Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had written letter to Supreme Court for the formation of commission and investigation.
He said that bench with majority delivered decision which was given by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif six months ago. Khawaja Asif said we are ready for every kind of investigations. He said that it was conclusively developed today that the proofs and evidences which were presented by our opponents before Supreme Court were not complete. He said that the court said that there is further need of investigation into the matter. He said that the prayers of the nation were with Nawaz Sharif.
On the occasion Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal said that with the blessings of Almighty Allah we have secured great success. He said the failed politicians tried to commit coup on the mandate of public through sit-in and were failed. He said that the opponents tried to commit coup against government through court and use the backdoor to remove the prime minister but the Supreme Court has foiled their attempt. He said those who intended to remove prime minister through backdoor faced defeat.
He said that the verdict shows that PTI is the minority party of the country. He said the majority judgment has accepted the mandate of the people. He said that the court did not accept the stance of the opponents. He said that the mandate of 2013 has been succeeded and those who wanted to remove government through backdoor were defeated today.
On the occasion Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique said that today once again Mian Nawaz Sharif, his team and millions of voters and Pakistanis who love democracy were succeeded. He said that Imran Khan and other petitioners and opposition should respect the court verdict. He said that the biggest constitutional court of the country has delivered its judgment.
He said the decision regarding formation of JIT is the success of the stance of prime minister. He said that prime minister did not raise objection over the maintainability of the petitions or jurisdiction of the court. He said that full cooperation will be extended with the JIT and court verdict will be implemented in letter and spirit. He said the journey of moving forward the country under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif will continue. He said that prime minister is “Sadiq and Amin”. He said Imran Khan should go back and should serve the people of the Khyber Pakhtoonkahwa. He said the court of people will be set up in 2018 and PML-N will form government in all provinces and will with two-thirds majority.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb said the judgment of the court is in line with the stance adopted by PML (N).
She said the Prime Minister had offered JIT so that there is transparency in investigations. She expressed the confidence that investigations of JIT would endorse the viewpoint of PML (N) and the Prime Minister.
Spokesman of the Prime Minister Dr Musadik Malik expressed satisfaction over pronouncement of the verdict and said the opposition should have no objection to formation of the JIT.
In a tweet message, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the nation on Supreme Court’s decision of not disqualifying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case.
Counsel for Prime Minister’s sons Salman Akram Raja said that majority decision is the real decision of the court.
He said the court has decided to go for investigations, which was our plea from the very beginning. He said dissenting notes are no more than personal opinions.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali says people of Pakistan have rejected negative politics of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Speaking outside Apex court, he said Imran Khan’s politics based on lie and courts of the country always give judgments on basis of strong evidences not as per desires.
He said the country has embarked on path of development under leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif but Imran Khan is having difficult to digest it. Abid Sher Ali said that PTI has no any proof against the Prime Minister.
He said some anti-developmental elements are in state of frustration owing to fast pace development of country, therefore they are trying to halt process of progress but they will not succeed in their bad intentions.
