Says neither Modi nor Trump or the Qatari prince or any other country in the world can save Nawaz
ISLAMABAD, July 16 (SABAH): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will land in Adiala jail as an outcome of the Panamagate hearing in the Supreme Court (SC).
Addressing a workers convention in Islamabad, the PTI leader warned PM Sharif of the possibility of landing behind bars. “You will not go to Jeddah, but to Adiala jail,” said Khan.
Khan vowed to “either celebrate victory in Islamabad or take to the streets against the PML-N leadership” after the apex court decides the Panamagate case, which is set to resume today (Monday).
He accused the PML-N of planning to attack the SC if the outcome of Panamagate case was against the Sharifs. He warned PM Sharif against any such attempt and said that the entire nation would stand with the apex court.
PML-N has destroyed the parliament as well as all other institutions, said Khan, adding, “All except the apex court and the army”. He lauded the joint investigation team (JIT) for exposing the contradictions and lies of the PML-N’s leadership. The JIT did an outstanding job because it was under the SC, he said.
He asked the PML-N workers to stop supporting their leaders for the sake of the future generations and the country. Imran Khan said no foreign power could save the premier from accountability.
“I have heard they are seeking support from the UAE to save themselves from accountability,” Imran told his supporters. “But neither [Indian PM] Narendra Modi nor [US President] Donald Trump or the Qatari prince or any other country in the world can save Nawaz Sharif.”
“While Nawaz Sharif [may think] can destroy other institutions too, I promise an unprecedented number of masses will take to streets to oust the rulers,” he said. “You will not find a place to hide; this time you will not be able to go to Jeddah but to Adiala jail.”
“I am telling my workers to be prepared as they [PML-N], after attempting to discredit the JIT, will now go after the top court and Pakistan Army.”
The PML-N, Imran added, will aim at these two institutions as they have already destroyed all other [state] institutions, including Parliament, the SECP and the FBR. “I will call upon my supporters in few days to stand by these institutions if the course of justice is hindered.”
“I hear them saying it’s a conspiracy…a sponsored conspiracy…against democracy. They are calling it a conspiracy because for the last 30 years they sailed through it [without being caught],” the PT chief said. He added that the prime minister had employed tactics like bribing to escape justice.
He asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to present answers to questions raised by the JIT instead, adding the team’s report has come up with evidence which leaves no scope for doubt. Imran said that his 2014 sit-ins spread awareness in the masses. PTI Chief said that people were now aware of Nawaz Sharif’s corruption. He highlighted the ‘lies’ of Sharif family on Calibri font, Gulf Steel Mills and conspiracy claims. “SECP Chairman was caught tampering,” he affirmed.
He said that the premier was continuously using democracy as tool to save himself from corruption while framing everything against him as a conspiracy.
Imran Khan pointed out that ‘clever’ kids of both Ishaq Dar and Nawaz Sharif reside in aboard and receive looted money. He accused Nawaz Sharif of tax evasion and claimed that government had made laws to support their money laundering.
