LAHORE, Sep 12 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has appealed to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice of the incidents of fire in government buildings in which the record of the departments and corporations was burnt.
In a statement here on Tuesday, he said it was surprising that fire erupted in official building in which official record was burnt and it was later stated that fire was caused by short circuiting. He said on Sunday last, there was fire in a Plaza in Islamabad in which the record of the Federal Tax Ombudsman and the CPEC was burnt. Prior to that, the record of the Nandi Pur power project was burnt in the same way.
Similarly, he said, there was big fire in the LDP Plaza which burnt its entire record. In yet another incident, there had been fire at the Lahore District Courts in which the valuable record was burnt.
