ISLAMABAD, Mar 17 (SABAH): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Friday while terming Chairman PSL Najam Sethi as “Phatecher” has claimed that next Pakistan Super League (PSL) would be staged during the tenure of PTI’s government, adding that the entire tournament would be staged in Pakistan, not just the final.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of Insaf Super League, he said, “Quality cricketers of the world would play in the league, not relu katas (third-class or useless).” He said the next PSL would be held during the PTI government. He said PTI will end recommendation culture in sports, adding that PTI will introduce local cricket system. He said that there is great talent in Pakistan, adding that for this purpose we will have to bring improvement in cricket and amend the system.
Imran Khan said that PCB will be made an institution and sports will be promoted after brining improvement in the system.
Imran Khan claimed that 70 grounds for sports have been established in Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa. He said more grounds would be established for sports. He said that such cricket team will be formed which again will win world cup for the country.
